Lindsay discovered her obsession with beauty early on in life. She likes to blame it on her aunt, who – albeit accidentally – bequeathed her very first makeup set upon her when she was the ripe old age of six. It was encased in cheap pink plastic and had eight different eye shadows, six different lip colors and (gasp!) mascara.
Incidentally, this premature experience with cosmetics evolved into myriad obsessions with beauty. We’ll skip the awkward stage(s). In high school, she developed a fierce passion for all things sartorial while working at the über luxe and stylish Echo A Salon. Her silly but equally passionate co-workers encouraged her to follow her heart, which longed to be an editor at one of the nation’s top fashion magazines. She didn’t see any other choice but to move to New York at seventeen, where she obtained her degree in journalism and psychology from NYU. Naturally, with little interest in the law and after countless intern hours logged at various fashion publications, she took a job as a paralegal. She blogged about what to wear to work for a while, then found out that she has a thing for underthings. A crush, if you will. They make her feel beautiful – like she has that je ne sais quoi. Through a little exploration, she discovered that lots of other women feel similarly, and so decided to create a space to share her favorite things and underthings in this comfy and provocative little corner of the interwebs.
