I’m always trying to streamline… from my G-mail inbox to my morning routine to the way I take notes and write. Somewhat ironically, I’ve found that in trying to make these processes more efficient I actually accomplish the opposite. I’ve downloaded one too many organizational apps, created email “rules” I’ve forgotten about and now have an entire shelf full of “all in one” skin care products. Let’s face it: the only way to streamline is to minimize, which means both letting go and saying no which is difficult for a collector!
The same holds true when it comes to wardrobe choices. I recently moved to a different room within my apartment and had to pare down the contents of my closet—no easy task. I removed clothes that reminded me of my old job and pieces I haven’t worn in over a year. While it was hard to let go in that moment, I can confidently say that I’ve already forgotten the contents of those two huge bags full of clothes… and it feels so good knowing that I’m working toward a strategic closet. The end goal is to have a wardrobe whose contents all match. In other words, I can close my eyes, choose a top, a bottom and shoes and not worry about whether my outfit will look coordinated. With the right basics and occasional statement piece, it always will. This outfit is good progress, I think. Don’t you?

Love it! Your bag totally goes with your hair– and a great setting with the mint green glass.
Ha, thank you! My hair turns up more red in photos than it actually is in real life, but I’m totally excited about that because I loooove the color of this bag.
Lydia’s choice of venue, she’s the best!
Great outfit!
Thanks Chelle!
