If I had to describe my style, this is it. It’s not classic, preppy or punky exclusively, but fuses elements of all three for a unique blend. It is likely the product of the vastly different tastes of those who have sartorially influenced me most: my preppy mom who lauds Lacoste, my funky hairstylist (former) coworkers who are always on the cutting edge, and my dad, who always wore classics with a trendsetting twist. I am currently loving this particular dress by Michelle Mason, especially that leather bodice. The structured silhouette of the top reminds me of a corset and the little opening on the small of the back is a darling surprise, perfect for balmy summer nights. Would you wear a leather dress? I think our styles are very similar – I adore this style of dress (feminine length, little edge with the leather top) and I own a gold finger bracelet, I very much like this way of wearing jewellery.
