With warm weather (hopefully!) right around the corner, I’ve started to imagine different ways to wear lingerie as outerwear. As evidenced by the ensembles I styled, I have a slight obsession with camisoles, which works out well because they’re perfect for layering. Ari Dein’s lovely combination of peach colored lace over luxurious black silk will make you feel like the most beautiful girl in the world. Envision: a walk on the beach at dusk with a warm, salt water breeze tousling your hair (so, really, no shoes necessary!).

Sugar (those sweet little buttons), spice (the sheerness) and everything nice – this sunny, sweet halter top by Zinke, my favorite lingerie designer duo, could be worn in so many scenarios, but it’s airiness and resemblance to a fizzy, refreshing mimosa makes it perfect for a leisurely Sunday brunch.

The unique print on Stella McCartney’s Ida Driving Camisole is nothing but pretty, which  is the perfect complement to a femme fatale look a la Kate Lanphear, one of my favorite fashion editors.

Neon is so summer sexy, especially when it’s designed in lace and a flattering silhouette. I couldn’t picture it here, but I’d totally wear this awesome babydoll over an LBD or as a top under a pencil mini skirt for an eccentric spin.
