My Collection: Myla Sugar Plum Set

This is the second set of lingerie I’ve ever purchased, and it was an audacious move for my – at the time – novice status as a collector. I bought it years ago (2009, I believe) after a rough day at the office. As per usual, I headed to my favorite place for retail therapy and this set turned out to be the perfect distraction. It was the first cupless bra I’d ever encountered, and I was immediately intrigued by the scandalous and daring idea that someone would wear a bra without cups. My train of thought was: No fabric? What? Oh! Hmmm… ;)

The bra and panties are feminine and foxy, crafted of sugar plum purple silk blend and delicate lace trim. At first glance, this set is as lovely as they come. But don’t be fooled! The vixen who’d don these knickers knows she’s not all innocent. The cupless bra and ouvert panties make a playfully bold statement that simultaneously relays confidence and a certain spontaneity – a dangerously fun combination.

I also love the intricacy and the detail – just look at that lace (two pictures down)! Sumptuous, well crafted *and* durable – what more could a lingerie lover ask for?

  1. I love the rich colour of this set. It reminds me of the set by Stella McCartney – Constance Baking I think it was, such a vibrant purple, very luxe. I am fond of Myla, they have wonderful assistants in their department in Selfridges in London and they helped me many a time back in the UK.
