London Fashion Week is always such a feast for the eyes. The eccentricity and devil-may-care attitude of the shows sets them apart from the other cities and has inspired me to add some funky and sparkly pieces to my wardrobe. Even though it stands alone among my selections, I love the Ace of Spades tunic by Jasper Conran. It’s witty, fun and has a touch of pizazz – little bit of that je ne sais quoi, if you will. I can’t wait to add a piece or two like this to my spring wardrobe.
Out of all the London Fashion Week collections, Sass & Bide resonated with me most. I loved the long lines and outlandish disco sparkles. The perfect balance of edgy and feminine was achieved with structured tops that featured pointed shoulders, origami folds and cinched or belted waists. The bottoms were a mix of masculine and feminine, but the ones I loved most were the long, rippling skirts and dresses. The juxtaposition of hard lines + flowing chiffon just gets me. Did you have any favorites from the London collections? I’d love to hear from you in the comments or on Twitter or Facebook!
Sass & Bide: This look wins. Flattering, edgy and elegant with killer shoe booties.
Sass & Bide: I gravitate toward sparkly things, so sue me.
Sass & Bide: I love the top’s art deco structure.
Marios Schwab: The body jewelry is gorgeous… it’s almost a dress in and of itself.
Jasper Conran: Ace of Spades wins at love and war.
Jasper Conran: A sparkly slip? Yes please.
Aminaka Wilmont: I’m not usually one to go for prints, but this one is too stunning to pass up.
Jean Pierre Braganza: The take on draping here is flattering and unique.
Daks: I love wearing dresses that look like slips and this one has the perfect amount of “side boob” (no, seriously)
Issa: Don’t you just love the bodice? I’d wear this in a heartbeat. Half a heartbeat.
PPQ: I’ll admit I don’t love the makeup, but the sheer skirt overlay is killer.
Felder Felder: I had to throw in something that wasn’t black, but I also think this would be the perfect springtime office to casual evening on the town outfit.
Preen: I have no words for this, other than get in my closet.
If you like these, I’d love to hear your thoughts on that je ne sais quoi‘s New York Fashion Week favorites.

I share you love for Sass and Bide but another collection I liked – though not on the catwalks – was Charlie May. I’m just writing a piece on it for me blog so would love your thoughts, but I suspect you might be a fan too. Is that Fleet Ilya over the top of Marios Schwab do you think?
