Wake Up Slow

wake up slow

wake up slow 2I have friends who will set their alarm clocks one, two or three minutes later than normal just to get those extra few moments of precious sleep. I think sleep is so underrated; that said, I’m always tweeting about how I don’t get enough (and don’t need it), but there’s nothing better than waking up feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

I must say, I owe the scant few restful mornings I’ve experienced lately to Love Me Sugar – I have yet to put curtains up in my new apartment, and it’s so.incredibly.sunny in the mornings. I truly love it, but every once in a while I just want to roll over and snooze… and there’s no accessory more darling to help achieve this extra shut eye than a handcrafted, 100% silk Parisian sleep mask. The coolness of the silk actually feels great against my (super sensitive) skin and, well, I’m a sucker for polka dots. Do any of you use sleep masks? I won’t lie – wearing this one makes me feel like a gazillionaire. As does this chemise, which is one of the prettiest and most comfortable lounge pieces in my chemise collection.

That mask is beyond precious. I think we both need to get some much needed beauty sleep. Maybe on the weekend?

  2. Sarah says:

Where does one buy such a sleep mask?

  3. Meredith says:

They should make sleep masks for kitties! Then maybe Mac would sleep through the night :)

  4. I do indeed have a sleep mask. I can’t for the life of me remember where I got it from though, maybe Myla? It’s black with ruffles and I love it. It feels like a real treat to wear it and I often use it after an eye treatment to make sure I get a decent night’s sleep. Cute pictures here!

Thanks! They were meant to be a little funny, too… hehe. I’ll have to try wearing the mask after an eye treatment – great idea!
