There’s something about the juxtaposition of the plunging V back and sweet bias cut of the skirtlette … it’s that je ne sais quoi, distilled in the form of a chemise. It’s a perfect balance of vixen and sugar plum fairy, with floaty aubergine silk that will make you feel so royal and light, you’ll be wondering why you haven’t sprouted wings and flown away to your candy kingdom.
This piece introduced me to Zinke, a brilliant collaboration between two sisters whose designs tailor to the needs of small busted women. The duo is known for their luxurious fabrics and impeccable fit for both lingerie and swimwear. I purchased this number well before that je ne sais quoi was even born!
My Zinke pieces often get mixed in with my outerwear wardrobe (yep, I have two separate closets) because they can double as tanks, camisoles or can be worn on their own. I’ve worn this as a tunic over very skinny black denim, but I also think it would look ravishing under a skater skirt for an evening look — especially with that plunging back.
This is just one part of the”My Boudoir” series: have a look at the rest of my lingerie collection.
